Really tasty cai fan. Really long queue even on weekdays lunch. But queue moves really fast. One star less because portions not very big for guys. My friend says it's the best in sg

This eatery is at Block 92, Toa Payoh Lorong 4. Famous for their fish head curry but also their daily economic rice meal of seafood, meat and vegetables dishes are also popular.

Beef rendang is very good for me. The prawn is nice but too spicy for me, I am not used to eating spicy foods, I eat but sometimes only. Paylah is accepted as payment here.

This mixed veg rice stall has a very long queue. Hence, decided to try it for once. I queued for 30mins with only 7 persons in front of me because there are many many regulars who can bypass the queue and order directly from the staff from within. •$7.50 for 3 shrimps, 1 scoop cockles, 1 scope veg & rice. •another $7.50 for 3 shrimps, 1 scoop veg, 1 slice egg omelet, 2 small pieces of fried chicken. Decided that we were going to have curry fish head for dinner, so we came here to do some quick takeaways. I must say that the quality of their curry and mixed rice items are pretty good. 4 dishes plus half a curry fish head for $47. Food wise, yes it's better than most average zhap chai peng stalls. But the boss's attitude though, was quite pissy. Impatient, a little stuck up, and just unnecessarily lashing all over a client like me who was just clarifying if I needed to queue up if I wanted to do takeaway. And when I wanted to see what other dishes they have, he just ignored me entirely after that.

Have previously tried the curry fish head here, but since I'm alone tdy ordered just the chai png. Since this is premium cai png stall, ordered more premium dishes not found in other cai png stall. Herbal chicken is very tender and savoury. I also like the rendang mutton dun have the gamey smell and well seasoned. The cockles were good too. The vege feels a bit undercook though. All in all, very good cai png but as I ordered mainly more premium dishes so it costs $14.

$11 for filet curry, $6 sesame oil chicken, $3 for egg, $1.80 for 2 rice. Heard it is popular so finally got to try. Curry is sour but the fish is quite sufficient for 2 people(provided there are other dishes too). Wasted that the other dishes are not hot because taste very home-cooked. Don't think we will try again. Good to have it at least once though to satisfy one's curiousity since always long queue. Staff is friendly, quite patient with us when ordering.
